Back to ARTISTS A DunajewskyA. Dunajewsky, born in 1843 was a Russian-born synagogue composer and conductor who flourished in Odessa. Little is known about his life. He wrote a two-volume work, Israelitische Tempel Compositionen for the Sabbath and his melody for Av Harachamim, has become popular throughout the world. He died in 1911.
