J-colo was set-up early 2002 by three average guys living in the north London suburb of Hendon, Dan Jacobs, Yoz Grahame and Richard Cohen
were wanted to have their e-mail/web etc. hosted in an environment they trusted and so decided to pay for space in a server room and thus J-colo was born. To cover the costs of hosting the servers and maintaining the hardware they decided to invite friends and colleages to pay for accounts.By the summer of 2002 J-colo was a non-profit making organisation with at least 6 companies/organisations and 15 individuals subscribing.
